It started with doodles—simple hourglasses with stick arms and legs sketched onto sticky notes months ago. If I come across those originals, I’ll share them here. That early spark, though rough, opened up a series of explorations around time-based characters.
At one point, I experimented with a pinecone-inspired design, but it never quite landed. I even began playing with a potential title—Time Grows On—as I searched for the right visual metaphor.
Ultimately, I circled back to the hourglass figure. The connection between time and growth began to resonate more deeply—especially once I layered in the crystalline element. Crystals do grow, and that idea felt both intentional and creatively aligned.
The real breakthrough came through an AI-generated image—one that shifted my perspective and unlocked the direction you’ll see reflected in the designs below.

I’m pleased with the direction I’ve taken in shaping these character concepts—they’re evolving in ways that feel both intentional and inspiring. Where I continue to stretch myself is in the design of spaces and landscapes, particularly when leaning into more abstract, concept-driven work.
What you’ll see below are outcomes generated from prompts I created in Leonardo AI while working in what I call the “flow state.” These explorations are less about perfection and more about discovery—about pushing the edges of imagination and seeing where the process leads.
